Old Rugged Cross

The second single from Alyssa Wade’s debut project, another classic hymn. We have always had a love for hymns and worship music, so we decided to try to throw our hat in the ring and set forth an offering that everyone could enjoy. The cross is the instrument that has set us free from our sin, because our Lord and Saviour endured the cross, despising the shame (see Hebrews 12:2). He is now seated at the right hand of God, interceding on our behalf (see Romans 8:34). Though some may see the cross as a stumbling block or foolishness, to us it is the power of God (see 1 Corinthians 1:22-25). We rejoice in this instrument, knowing that our saviour’s obedience has purchased our redemption. To some, it is rugged, to us, it is beautiful.
